CONTRIBUTE

A world where every mother and child thrives, supported by a caring and compassionate community.

PURPOSE

To reduce maternal and child mortality, advocate and improve access to healthcare and education, and create a nurturing environment that fosters the well-being of mothers and children, with a focus on women and children of color who are in underprivileged communities in the United States of America.

IMCI OPERATIONAL PLAN

IMCI will work closely and apply to grants that would align with the mission of the non-profit focusing on serving the targeted population.

FUNDRAISE

Community-Based Engagement

Organize community health fairs, workshops, and information sessions to engage with mothers, children, and families directly in underserved areas.

Create a dedicated health equity team within IMCI to address disparities in healthcare access and outcomes, ensuring services are equitable and inclusive.

IMCI FOCUS GOALS

According to data collected from the MDH in 2022 it showed “ Black Minnesotans represent 13% of the birthing population but made up 23% of pregnancy-associated deaths, and American Indian Minnesotans represent 2% of the birthing population, but 8% of pregnancy-associated deaths.” IMCI will focus on finding ways that can reduce some of the maternal and child mortality rates in the marginalized community. How would we do this ( advocacy for more pregnancy screening, pre/postnatal care by finding and connecting them to their needed services, educating women on pregnancy care and birthing, educational interventions on vaccine hesitancy for children
